BFI London Film Festival 2025 — A Celebration of World Cinema in London (8–19 Oct)

The 69th edition of the BFI London Film Festival makes its return this October, presenting a vast and varied collection of films to audiences across the UK. From 8 to 19 October 2025, the festival will highlight voices both emerging and established.

BFI London 2025 – A Rich & International Programme

This year’s lineup includes 247 films, shorts, series, and immersive works drawn from 79 countries, delivering world premieres that command attention. The festival opens with Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery and closes with 100 Nights of Hero. It features curatorial strands like Love, Debate, Laugh, Dare, Cult, Journey, Create, Experimenta, Family, and Shorts—each offering unique moods and thematic explorations.

Screenings Across London & Beyond

Key venues include BFI Southbank and the Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre. Additional London cinemas—Curzon Mayfair, Curzon Soho, ICA, Prince Charles Cinema, and Vue West End—also host screenings. The festival’s reach extends outside the capital, with partner cinemas across the UK making the festival more accessible to regional audiences.

Immersive Works & Industry Engagement

The LFF Expanded programme continues to push boundaries, bringing immersive art, VR, XR, and interactive narratives into focus. On 15 October, the festival debuts its first Expanded Industry Day, offering industry professionals a dedicated space for panels, deals, and insight into new forms of screen storytelling. The Industry Forum also provides networking and a platform for works-in-progress.
